Halfway Luau for the USS Reagan

We had a blast last Saturday at the 32nd Street Naval base! We were so blessed to take part in the Halfway Luau for the USS Reagan. We had the opportunity to create fun and funky hairstyles, with colored hairspray, for the families of our service men and women aboard the USS Reagan!
It was so awesome to be able to give back to the people who give so much to this country! We did so well that we were invited back to be part of their Final Days black and white affair preparation!

Makeup Class

So, its Nearly June 7th, and I can't wait to join my girls in the MUD Makeup class. This month will be filled with intense training and education in application techniques and creativity. Now that our schedule changes, I will be happy to have saturdays to spend at home! Another exciting announcement in our advancement through the academy! Im so excited, I can't wait!!!

Yesterday we held the votes for all positions on Student Council Board! We are pleased to announce the results!

Eileen Stansberry – President

Desiree Garcia – Vice President

Corinne Durnal – Secretary

Maggie Kragel – Treasurer

Alison Mattazaro and Breanna Luke – Coordinators

Also, coming up we will be announcing auditions for our design team. Requirements will be as followed:

1. Updo on a live model

2. Haircut (of an instructor's choosing) on a doll head

3. 90/90 : GPA/Attendance

We will keep you up to date on that as well. The design team will be the group of exceptional girls that will represent JE Boutique/Bellus Academy at all of the top of the line events!

Shellac and other Nail Services

In the past week we have been graced with the presence of Ms. Trudy from our Bay Vista campus. She is a fellow cosmo who knows all there is to know about our CND (Creative Nail Design) products and services.
She first came in a week ago and taught a few of us how to do Shellac. She is back in today to continue Shellac education for a few other students and to educate us on spa mani's and pedi's!
We are so excited to add these things to our service menu!

Jason's Birthday!

Hello all and welcome back!
Today we had our business huddle, per our usual Tuesday! And to our surprise on the "Save the Date"'s came up our wonderful instructor, Jason Frazier's, birthday!
Now, if anyone knows anything about Jason, we all know that he loves Harry Potter!!!!!
And so, on our break, we called Food4Less and asked them if they had Harry Potter decorations for cakes...well, they did! So we ran over there on our lunch a snagged that cake...I only wish we'd had time for balloons!

Another Exciting Week at JE Boutique!

Hello All!
This was a busy week at J E Boutique! We are pumped to rock out up-do's for our clients for prom today and we are busy promoting our new Wella product line!
We are working hard and everyone is moving on up. We have quite a few graduations coming up within the month. And we are also excited to welcome the new starts!
This week, the Inspiration class is starting men's haircutting, and then half of them move onto the floor. Meanwhile, it is time for some of our freshman to join the Inspiration class and start learning color formulations! We are booming with enthusiasm as the year chugs on!
Soon, we will be adding celebrity look-a-likes to the page! We're loving it!

April 23! Community Clean Up!

On Saturday the 23rd the lovely ladies of Je Boutique and one of our Instructors pitched in to help the City of El Cajon in a Community Clean up day. We spent about three hours on just three blocks picking up EVERY piece of garbage we could find. For a combined effort, Jackie, Eileen, Maybo, Jeffery, and myself picked up over 30 pounds of trash!

The Lend a Hand Program-

WHAT IS THE LEND A HAND PROGRAM?

The heart of this program is about inspiring active and motivated neighbors to define and direct lasting change in their neighborhoods. More than just physical improvements, Lend A Hand educates neighbors and brings the community together in a big way.

El Cajon CDC will provide the cleaning tools, we need you to supply the elbow grease.
